Every Saturday, our Pastor Michael meets with about 30 street boys in a field. The children are between 12 and 30 years old and live on the streets under difficult conditions.

Together, they discover stories from the Bible and discuss topics that concern the boys in their daily lives. This includes their worries and challenges, but also friendship, trust, and hope.

After their time together, they play: during a game of football or badminton, the boys can simply be children, laugh, and enjoy carefree moments. Afterwards, everyone receives a warm meal – something very special for many of the boys.

Currently, mostly boys participate in this program. Girls living on the streets often find work during the day and are therefore less likely to be present at our meetings.

Our goal is to give children appreciation, community, and hope – and to show them that they are not forgotten.

Every two weeks, on Mondays, our team goes out to the surrounding communities to visit and support elderly people and their families.

We currently accompany and care for about 20 families who depend on our help. We distribute essential staple foods and everyday products such as sugar, salt, soap, and Posho (cornmeal).

However, our visits are not just about material support. Equally important to us are time, personal encounters, and a listening ear. We want to show people that they are not forgotten and that they experience support and appreciation in their community.

Our community work thrives on encounters, solidarity, and the shared desire to help where help is needed.

Every two weeks, on Tuesdays, our team visits the slums to provide practical support to people on site.

We distribute Posho, a staple food that provides important daily help for many families. We also give sanitary pads to women and girls so they can participate in daily life even during their menstruation.

We now also offer the children a small snack. They receive a drink, often orange juice, and a piece of bread. What might be a small meal for us means valuable and welcome support for many children.

Our visits are not just about distributing food and hygiene products. We want to meet people, listen, encourage, and show them that they are not forgotten.

School Education for Children

Every Sunday, about 60 children come to our home to learn together. A dedicated volunteer teacher teaches the children and provides them with important foundations for their future lives.

For many of these children, it is not possible to attend a regular school for various reasons. Our Sunday lessons therefore give them the opportunity to learn, develop new skills, and experience community.

After class, each child receives a warm, nutritious meal. In this way, we want not only to enable education but also to give the children a sense of security, care, and hope.
